- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Waste of our tax money. I got a $120 ticket for parking in front of my own driveway. I was intentionally blocking my driveway from being driven on because of newly poured concrete. I spoke with officers that thought it was ridiculous that I got a ticket being parked in front of (and halfway on) MY OWN driveway. How does this help our community?!? It doesn't, it just pays for officer Perry to drive around all night and write tickets... I spoke with him over the phone and he's the exact 'tough guy syndrome' type of person who is drawn towards a position in power... Officer perry said blocking my sidewalk, in my own driveway is against the law and he's writing tickets for it. Well the lot next door is being developed and I have a added a picture of the builder's truck always on the wrong side of the street and permanent dumpster blocking the sidewalk, except I was targeted. I'm extremely disappointed in Johnstown, it has turned into a community where tickets for petty "crimes" are essential to their finances. UPDATE: I went to court and thankfully the city attorney has a lot more sense than officer Perry. My ticket was dismissed. The city attorney even shook his head with disappointment after he saw all of my evidence.
